30th January 2015 – Stuck for natural cleaning products then try some of these to get your office spick and span.
With all the chemicals in many of the products we use for cleaning today, would we be better off to go back to the good old-fashioned remedies that were used? Many of us will find we have all the ingredients in our cupboards at home and if not they can be easily sourced from the local supermarket.
If your office kitchen area has any stainless steel then why not keep a bottle of olive oil under the sink and a cloth. Yep that’s all you need to remove fingerprints etc. and give that stainless steel a real shine. It is really simple all you need to do is to put some olive oil onto a soft cloth and then wipe.
Does you office or business have any kind of oven? All you need to clean this is make up a solution of 1 cup of water, 1 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of table salt. Mix the ingredients together and then wipe it everywhere in the oven. Now heat the oven to 475 degrees for 50 minutes making sure that the oven door is closed. Now allow the oven to completely cool down then wipe clean. If you have any streaks then try wiping off with vinegar.
If your microwave is disgusting inside, then it is time so give it a thorough clean. Try cutting up a lemon and putting in a bowl of water. Put the bowl in the microwave and then put on full power to allow the water to boil. Once boiling, leave for a few minutes and then remove the hot bowl carefully and wipe out the inside. If really stubborn stains then repeat several times. Not only will this give you the incentive to use the microwave but it will also give the office a lovely fresh citrus clean smell. Repeat weekly or more often to keep the microwave in pristine condition for your employees.
Do you know how to unblock your sink if the drain becomes blocked? Well some people may get straight on the blower for a plumber but why not try this natural remedy first. If a plunger doesn’t work then mix up the following ingredients ½ cup of salt, ½ cup of baking soda and 5 cups of boiling water. Add the solution to the drain and then follow this with lots of boiling water. If this method doesn’t work then maybe try just pouring some baking soda down the drain and then pour some vinegar on top. After a few minutes pour boiling water down the plughole.
